Asvine is a growing chinese brand out there in the fountain pen world known for making affordable but high quality pens. The V126 is no different. Resembling very close to the Pilot Custom 823, the V126 is a vacuum filler. It comes in a variety of colors including green, clear, frosted, brown, and black.
The pen comes in a simple plastic container insulated with foam to keep it safe.
The pen is made of a high quality thick acrylic with gold accents. Unlike traditional pens, the V126 features a twist cap, un screwing in 1.5 turns. The nib is stainless steel, plated with gold. The nibs are butter smooth and extremely wet writers yielding to nice shading and sheen from ink. They are however on the larger size, so order one size down.
The filling mechanism on the pen is really fun to use. The blind cap on the back of the pen is used to shut off ink flow. Unscrewed allows the ink to reach the nib, while screwing it in cuts it off. Pull on the blind cap to create a vacuum within the pen and push it back in to shoot ink into the chamber.
